I have an 11-year-old 19" TV and a standard DVD player, no HD or anything, no fancy sound setup and I still don't like paying that much to watch movies. Netflix is less per month for the account where you get 1 DVD at a time than it is for a single admission to any of the local movie theaters, except the 2nd run place. But, by the time movies get on there, they're either already out on DVD or about to be. And, if I watch and send the Netflix movies back right away, which I usually do, I can usually get a couple a week. (you do the math.
