Hey people, I wanted users to know that with the software available on most different forums, its amazing what you can download and use, some of you may know me and others wont, well im into 3d animation using lightwave etc, thank you for taking the time to see what I have got myself into, any of these vids will require you to have the Xvid codec, it can be downloaded from here :
www.xvid.org/Downloads.43.0.html
All this is my own work, some of the models I have used from others, but all the animations is my own work, some scenes may seem familiar to others, but they have been altered, or I have followed tutorials.
The first shot, and each one of these is small, slowly building into a bigger picture, the first is a shuttle pod (star trek) being stalked.

The second shot is more of the warbird escaping:

I enjoyed playing around with the Warbird series, and the water in this scene was the first time I touched water and tried to get into it.
This next one is just some ships from Battlestar :

We all remember the trench run in starwars, have a look in lightwave, this is basic stuff :

Clouds, these are difficult to make, but quite effective once shown :

Had fun making the clouds, and with the clouds and the warbirds I am always tinkering around with a larger picture
This shot here is a test of a metorite following a ship:

Another shazbot but closer:

You all remember the star trek bridge, well I did a small animation slightly screwed of inside the bridge:

=========================================================================
Taking a break from the animation of what I have been working on above, I decided it was time to go back to the water scenes, and this time
spent alot of time trying to perfect the water, it took me about a month or so to get it right with alot of errors, but now have some nice
results. No water animation is the same, each ripple or movement of a wave is different each time, and no wave is the same as any other:

Sample of floating on the water, its done is low quality to cut rendering times:
http://www.jf3000.com/3d/Bobbing_001.swf
In this scene I attempted to make the aurora Borealis, as again its only low quality, the waves that are moving, none of them are identical to the next.

Playing with all this water has given me a few ideas, but for now im just sampling what I can do and where I can take it, my goal in the end which has been done by only a selected amount of people is to have a Plesiosaurus swimming through the water, giving the effect between realism and fake.
I can create waves that look real, and soon hope to add the clouds that look real as well to my water, its easy to add just clouds, as in the experiment above, but adding them to all one scene makes for complications, but in time with experience and meeting others, I also learn and progress, then adding the Plesiosaurus for the final touches.
From the first underwater shot id also like to have the Plesiosaurus swimming too, big things to come from this jf
Took me sometime to render the water, the lightning was something else I just threw in, it is basic and doesnt do alot, in fact its rubbish as I was and still am working on how to get the splash effect, but there is more to come with this clip soon:
http://www.jf3000.com/3d/Storm1.swf
I converted it to an swf file as the output of the avi after the render was 21 meg.
Okay went back to the lightning and editted the heck out of it, now playing with splashes and raindrops or atleast learning, since I can do waves etc, I guess I can somehow manage to get water to fall or make raindrops.
Check this out in the meantime:

There are more vids I have worked on and if there is anyone else here that views these that can work on animation like myself with lightwave, I'd love to hear from you.
The newest addition to the lightwave I am working on is explosions, here you can find some stills:

Thanks for taking the time out to view my content. Some of the models used in this are from various 3d model sites, other models I have adjusted slightly or modified completely.
All animations, creations of water, waves, lightning, clouds are all on my work. If you have a passion for this type of work, or you currently are involved in this type of animation then I would love to hear from you.
