Fawkes Class Runabout
Just something Im playing with on the side. Nacells are to be placed into the open bays on the top sides. Center one is for work/weps pods.
Dont let the windows fool you... This one will be kinda big in size.

Looks great so far. It looks like a cross between a runabout and the "Insurrection" scout ship.

Well, if you'd post an update, maybe the need for cheap jokes would go away....

Quad core? How do you function on a regular computer at home after getting to use that beast?

I may just scrap this model, but not the design. This was my first try using a HYPER Nurb to do all the smoothing work. Its running into trouble. I'm thinking I'm going to have to go back and start from scratch.

I don't know what the hell a hyper nurb is, but sometimes you just have to start over.

Yeah. I'm still fuzzy about nurbs. trueSpace 4.2 has that option, but it usually sucks and tends to crash the program when I use it.

It fills in a pre set number of polygons in order to smooth out edges and faces automatically.

Ah, I see. One of these days I've gotta try Blender again. I know it uses nurbs and they just released a new version.

Yea... I might use them with a Bio figure, but not often with machines.
