Re: Federation Civil War
Thank you.
UPDATE...
I've finished the textures on the warp blade and deicded to call the ship the Damar Class. The last picture of the Bajoran ship and Cardassian ship was done for fun to see how they look together.

Re: Federation Civil War
UPDATE...
A little one anyway.
I noticed a lack of a photon topedoe launcher so I added one below the deflector/thing-a-majiggy.
I also finished the the impulse engine.

Re: Federation Civil War
Bring out your dead. Bring out your dead.
Didn't know it has been so long since I last worked on one of these ships.
UPDATE...
I decided to completely remake the bridge.

Re: Federation Civil War
UPDATE...
Pic 1 Shows the beginning of a photon torpedoe tube on the front of the saucer.
Pic 2 Shows I made a few slices and booleans to make a few panel lines.
Pic 3 Shows how the saucer now looks connected to the rest of the ship. The original design of the ship had two large blue balls on the bottom of the saucer. I decided to rework that idea and make them less blue and less silly looking.
Pic 4 Shows that I've thickened up the neck a little. It was just to damn thin and flimsy looking.

Re: Federation Civil War
UPDATE...
I have more work done.
I've done panel lines for the top and bottom of the saucer. I've added what looks like large observation windows to the lower saucer. I don't know if they are windows but they are in my references. I now have vents on the neck/saucer connection. The last pic shows some minor rim detail and a few small windows.

Re: Federation Civil War
UPDATE...
I’ve neglected my Civil War ships for too long so I thought I’d get some work done on this one. Most of what I’ve done is flesh out the impulse area. I’ve also decided on a final class name. This is a Smith class ship named after the master make up artist Dick Smith. Other ships in the class will be the Baker, Savini, Drexler and Winston.

Re: Federation Civil War
UPDATE...
I've added more windows and placed rooms behind them.
I made a few cutouts on the rim of the ship to house sensors.
And I rebuilt the secondary hull so it's not so boxy.

Re: Federation Civil War
Thank you.
This ship is based on a rejected Voayager concept It was only a top down view and not very detailed so most of it made up by me.
Most of my inspiration comes from just shapes in my head and sometimes dreams.

Re: Federation Civil War
UPDATE...
I added lifeboats and more windows and other details to the command decks.
Also added running lights and phasers. Right now I think the phasers are too big so I might redo them.
A close up of the textures on the bridge. I used a combination of inkscape and photoshop to do the texture.

Re: Federation Civil War
Started to texture the Claymore. I decided to go with a Voyager base color. I think it works and isn’t the normal gray or white. I see a few mesh errors I need to fix but that shouldn’t be a problem.

Re: Federation Civil War
UPDATE...
Decided to go back to the Claymore and do more textures for it. I’ve finished the hull and started the warp engines I still have to do the end cap so no it won’t stay that color.

Re: Federation Civil War
Thank you and more it is.
UPDATE...
Continuing to work on the Claymore I plan on this to be the next ship I finish. I decided that since this ship is too small for lifeboats I’d do the same thing I did with the U.S.S. Soval and turn the bridge into a lifeboat.
I also finished the textures for the primary neck and worked on an idea for a phaser nipple. I also added what might end up being cargo doors to the back of the saucer.

Re: Federation Civil War
UPDATE...
I’ve finally got to work on the look of the plug-in fo rthe bridge. I still haven’t decided how they will lock together because I don’t want to use a clamp of some kind. After all the Captain’s Yaght on the Enterprise-E didn’t appear to have any clamps holding it. Maybe some kind of magnets or a combination of artifical gravity and structuall support mixed with forcefields. I’ll probably use some kind of Tom Foolerymatrix or Shananagater.

Re: Federation Civil War
UPDATE...
I thought I’d go back and rebuild my U.S.S. Soval. There’s just to much about it that I’m not happy with.
I don't know if I'll remake the warp engines or not.

Re: Federation Civil War
UPDATE...
This was just what I needed to get out of my slump. I went back and worked on the secondary hull of the Pierce Class cruiser.
I started to finally get the shape of the secondary hull started. I've made a new deflector dish and those three bits sticking out on the side are a small homage to the ones on Enterprise.
Started to work on the back section as well. So far I'm happy with it.

Re: Federation Civil War
Thank you.
UPDATE...
Added more detail to the lower aft section including two phaser stripes.
I'm thinking of re-building the upper aft shuttlebay section.
What could be the re-built upper aft section.
Close up of aft detail.

Re: Federation Civil War
It already has a torpedoe launcher on top just like the Reliant. And I consider those cutouts on the sides of the hull to be sensors of some sort.

Re: Federation Civil War
UPDATE...
My newly remodelled shuttle bay looks much better than the old one. I also added a room above the shuttle bay so peeps could watch shuttles land and take off. There is also a transporter emitter above the shuttle bay control room. PLus I decided some more airlocks might be nice so I added them to the side on the same deck as the shuttle bay control room.
