Default When bored in class...

...play Magic : The Gathering.

I've been wanting to do something like this for a long time, I think it turned out well. Comments and criticisms please.

it looks good save one thing, the cards look like parts of the desk/table. Maybe its the angle, other then that very cool.

Agreed. There's no thickness to the cards. I'd extrude them about 1/32" or so...

I'll have to agree with what has been said about the thickness of the cards, but other than that, it's a great picture, I love the lighting ( interior lighting is one of my fuzzy areas, so when I see one done nicely I like it )

Yeah, the only flaw is the thickness of the cards. Just give them some depth, and this will be perfect.

the cards look to sharp at the edges, and the ones on the deck could use a transparency map where the texture ends so that there isn't a white space around it

I just realized this isn't really Sci-fi.

Moving to Non-SciFi Artwork...

No, I mean the face down cards on the deck have white outside their black border

And the white border VS black border... White border denotes an edition (Unlimited Edition to Seventh Edition, as well as Chronicles) and black is an expansion.
