Default Drake at warp

I saw this background image at APOD and had to use it. Simple (quick) scene with my USS Drake overlaying this image of the August Perseid meteor shower. The background is a time lapse photo of the shower with about 50 meteors and it looked like the warp effect you see in TNG.

That's cool. In TOS, they had streaking stars over non-moving background stars, as in this picture. In TNG, didn't they have only moving stars?

It's a strange effect. Looks more like objects are streaking by the Drake given the stationary background stars. Hard to make a call on this one. Giving the ship motion blur would convey the sense that it is moving but then the viewer would probably expect the background stars to be blurred as well. If there were more streaks, the current shot could be pulled off. It would look as thought the camera were moving with the ship. I am probably guilty of preferring the all stars blurred look although how realistic would this be if warp travel were possible?

Enough blather. Great use of the APOD image.

How long have you had this 'over analysis' problem?

I figured it was better than posting "cool". Think of it as a "stream of consciousness" exercise.
Or just ignore me. It's what I would do.
