Okay, been a while but I have been busy :D

I 're-painted' the Ursus to try and achieve a more TOS color. I also fixed the sharks mouth because it had some problems where it wraps on the centerline. I also changed the material type to anisotropic for a better 'painted metal' look.

Shark mouths are cool! (of course, I had to say that)

What does anisotropic mean, exactly? I know that it literally means unequal turning or affinity or stimulation, but in terms of modelling?

I really don't know either. Your explaination of the term is as accurate as I have seen and there is a ton of heavy math on how it is done. As far as MAX is concerned, it allows for more effective render passes on spherical objects. This is very helpful when the object has metallic qualities but you do not want a 'true' metal material.

I have seen a few guys move to it and the models seem to be a better when this material process is applied. I am still experimenting.
