Here's a contest for ya, and there may be a prize for the best story *if* enough people participate.
First, a good idea would be to watch as many episodes of battlestar Galactica that you can (there is a marathon on the SciFi Channel in Feb. Check listings).
The contest: Write a CONTINUATION conclusion to the series first season (in other words, not BSG-80).
Once again, if enough people participate, a prize may be involved.
Also feel free to post the link to this thread as you see fit for advertisment for the contest.
