A Question of Format

all going well in my future there's a move to Canada coming.. but this presents a prob. *he says looking at his video collection*

now.. my VCR here in the UK, (a JVC HR-J265EK), is a Dual Format player. It'll handle PAL and NTSC.

was thinking.. is there an Equilivent unit in the US/Canada? one that will play NTSC/PAL or am I dumping all these tapes?

If your vcr can send NTSC signals you can just keep it and use a power adaptor.

Otherwise, yes you can find dual mode vcrs, but you have to look for them. Normal stores won't carry them.

I got my code-free DVD player here. They also carry dual-mode, dual-voltage VCR's.
