I was watching a movie and they had a scenario where a president got elected and everyone liked what he did so much that they made him president for life. At which point the entire US became a christian state almost as bad as Afghanistan under the taliban.

I want to say it was Escape from LA, but I can't remember...

the law forbids a third term right? so that means that Bush can't go for a third term. but if that law wasn't there there'd most likely still be Clinton, and then we wouldn't have bush in the first place...

I see your point. It would be awful that instead of either alternative you provide, a peaceful, democratic, and tolerant nation in the mideast should prosper and spur other nations to reform.
