Can anyone ID this?

Does anyone know what, if anything, this ship is from? Over the years, I've seen a few similar ships, most notably Kier's "Shitty Death" cruiser and something similar in Starshatter, and I'm wondering if they have a common ancestor somewhere.

Any ideas?

That looks like the Jolly (?) Roger from Starship Troopers.

Yep, Starship Troopers and it is the Yamamoto seen in the movie. The ship the main characters are on is the Rodger Young. Actually, this is the basic Earth Forces warship that is seen most in the flick though there are one or two others in the movie.
