The saucer bottom "hump" needs to flow into the saucer bottom with some curvature, much like the TOS "E" saucer.

Here is an old tutorial for Max on making the TOS "E"-

http://hippiesatemysangies.whoadude.com/ Go to the Discovery Zone/Tutorials for the TOS "E" tutorial.

if anything, at least use the saucer creation principles :)

Hmm, that hull texture makes this ship look a bit like the dreaded "Akiraprise," which I try very hard not to think about. The registry and name are also sort of Akiraprise style.

I think the rounded edges of the primary hull makes the ship look a bit too modern, but perhaps this ship was ahead of its time. I think too that the nacelle rear end caps need a little work: from the side view the curve should continue all the way to the top. that way you won't have the blank vertical surface for the top half of the back.

Looks good so far!

The textures are a bit much. Turn them down a bit. Also, I not round the edges so much. Makes it look too much like a Ent-C. Perhaps this was the predeccesor of the Ambassador class?

Nice work overall. Keep it up.

What app are you using?

Windows can usually be made by either a map or booleaning out little squares or whatever shapes you want the windows to be from the hull.

Akiraprise????? Never seen that.

As fr the modern looking touch, I'm trying to make some flashy TOS models.

Let's just call it neo-tos :D

The USS Clijsters is captured on an old alien sattelite, so much for the prime directive :) http://users.pandora.be/microsuff/clijstersgray.jpg

So, that's an alien-eye-view of a Fed ship? Nice idea and cool pic. That blue is unusual (unique, actually) for a Fed ship but it looks good.

Those scenes through the windows look a bit off, though. Regardless of their position on the rim, they all show the same angle and view of the room as if they are only pictures pasted on the side of the ship (which they are, I guess). Also, the fact that you are using only 2 different windows is too apparent. Maybe using a more generic interior scene (ie fewer easily identifiable details) would be better. Perhaps having smaller windows woudl be better. The disc on Fed ships are usually 2 decks tall, so those windows must be enormous!

By the way "Akiraprise" is a nickname for the Akira-like ship for the new series "Enterprise."
