there's a few cool romulan bird of prey meshes floating around, anyone know where I can find them?

carloshdcinema1 March 10th, 2006 02:39 PM

or are they like off limits or something?

carloshdcinema1 March 10th, 2006 02:40 PM

because I can't seem to find them

I've barely used lightwave at all, but can't you export a max or 3ds file from lightwave, for example, do all the modeling in lightwave, and then export to a 3ds file?

Okay, I've looked in all the usual, expected places, and I have yet to find any 3D mesh of the crew/captain's quarters from TOS. I want to make a series of Poser images in various parts of the ship, but so far, I've only been able to find a couple of bridge models and props (Excalibur Productions is the best resource I've found so far). I can convert pretty much any mesh to Poser (I bulld and sell Poser models), and if anyone can put me in touch with SeanR, I'd like to convert his TOS bridge to Poser, as well (when I try, the board tells me I don't have permission to click on his name, even ... :( ).

.Lwo to .3ds

You probably know this already, but 3dexploration (now Deep Exploration) can solve you problems if you can't work with .lwo meshes. But be warned, strange things can happen when you change formats like that.

TOS interiors and props

Just to share the wealth (no pun intended), I've posted several sets I've created for my Star Trek: Reanimated project at ShareCG. They include the transporter room, ship's quarters and the briefing room, along with a set based upon Pike's quarters from "The Cage" (retrofitted with details from the series - it's not outfitted for the Pike era; I wanted to see how it looked if it had continued to be used during the run of the series). I also have a standard bridge chair and my own design of the Klingon equivalent, also to be used in the production, where I'm completely re-envisioning the interiors of the Klingon ship from the animated episodes.

I need a TNG bridge.

Why is everything TOS? lol.

Sniff*

evil_genius_180 March 17th, 2008 09:41 AM

Did you look here in the models section? SeanR has his Olympic bridge there in about 4 different formats. It's from the TNG-era.
