Klingon D-5 references?
I came up dry over at Hobbytalk, and everywhere else I've posted this...you guys are pretty much my last hope.
I'm looking for good schemas of the Klingon D-5 battlecruiser as seen in "Enterprise". I have the small, blurry image of a partial schema that's posted on Memory Alpha already...I was hoping for a better one. Can anybody here help me out? |
Re: Klingon D-5 references?
I wish I could help you out but I was looking for references for that ship a while back and came up dry. Most of the "D5" plans I've seen predate Enterprise (or are just friggin' wrong.)

Re: Klingon D-5 references?
Someone is making orthos, very rough, maybe they can help:

Try the above link. there is a D5 there it contains deck plans and orthographic views. That may be of help. It's in the starfleet museum site if you haven't been there yet. |
Re: Klingon D-5 references?
I've just had a little tour of the site and it has a history of Starfleet ships dating back to 2010. It is quite a good reference point for model builders. there are also a number of plans on there as described in my previous post.

Re: Klingon D-5 references?
Only problem is that it's the "Masao-verse", not the canon universe, and I was looking for the D-5 from "Enterprise".
I appreciate the attempt though... :) |

Hi
Ok I had another look and found this site which has downloads. there are a number of D5 variants there and a whole host of other vessels related to Star Trek. I hope this pans out. http://www.battleclinic.com/docks/dock.php?id=1647 I hope this works. the attached files are just a couple of variants for download. Hope these are what you are looking for. |

Heres another variant. I have my fingers crossed

Re: Klingon D-5 references?
As a reference to the site below for the d5. I took the liberty of using the downloads and i can report that they are the TEXTURE MAPS for the ships and not the actual models. However I am sure that members here may find it useful. I have looked at a few of the maps and they are very accurate. No doubt the super modelers here will find them useful. There are literally thousands on that site for just about everything scifi.

I found these .. might help .. As i never like the Enterprise show I never saw this design . I like it

Re: Klingon D-5 references?
Nice refs, especially those side views. The rest are screen caps but they're still cool. It's funny how that ship started out as a freighter (second side view) and later became a warship (first side view.)

Re: Klingon D-5 references?
No problem .. I found these through http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/

Re: Klingon D-5 references?
Yeah I knew about them, I was just hoping maybe someone knew of another source that might have more.
Thanks again! :) |
Re: Klingon D-5 references?
There is an other option I can try .. i'll get back to you later

Re: Klingon D-5 references?
I too will look for D5 references. I hope I can find the exact thing you are looking for. Between Teranis and I we should find something.

Re: Klingon D-5 references?
that site i looked a was no good
|
Re: Klingon D-5 references?
i have used every search engine out there for D5 stuff and all I get is the same site listings. I think that it isn't very popular with the modelling community. the only model I found cost over 180 bucks.

Re: Klingon D-5 references?
Unfortunately, a lot of ships from Enterprise aren't very popular in the modeling community. I don't know why, they had some great ships on that show.
