Constitution TOS update (Max 2.5)

<IMG SRC="http://www.3dgladiators.net/forums/ubb/ubbhtml/uploads/Downloadpic.JPG" border=0>

http://www.reversepolarity.co.uk/meshes/Masashi.zip 1.7 megs (Max 2.5)

http://www.reversepolarity.co.uk/mes...hiTextures.zip 2.25 megs (16-bit bitmaps)

http://www.reversepolarity.co.uk/mes...shiVectors.zip 900k (Illustrator files)

http://www.geocities.com/trekkinklin...sh/Connyupdate This directory has all the files in it seperately, plus the original .3ds component files and native Rhino 3DM file, zipped together

*edit* Thanks to Darrell Lawrence for offering a mirror site for these files. If one link doesn't work, the other will.

Thanks for the assistance, everyone.

Dan

Looks like the files aren't up yet. I'll post when they're activated.

Dan, you can use that site I sent you the FTP info for too.

Thanks, Darrell; I'll do that.

Sweet! Thanks!

Dan,

Guess WHAT!!

3D Exploration will convert .MAX files!!!

Anyway, you've no idea how much I appreciated you're sharing the Nacelle with me. (I've been trying for a long time to come up with something like them!)

This ship is such a fine example of the talent around here, I think the 3D Gladiators Crew should consider making her a "mascot" of sorts...

Dan January 19th, 2001 12:49 PM

*L* Thanks for the compliment, but I think she's a little too "modern" for the Glads, and I'm pretty sure Ed's justifiably happy with his refit http://www.3dgladiators.net/forums/u...lies/smile.gif

*edit* Ian, I confirmed your theory that it's "Musashi": I misread it when I put it on there. If someone wants to fix it on the textures...

Grey, it will, but VERY poorly, because it doesn't have access to the modifiers used in Max. Many parts of the mesh won't come through at all.

I didn't build it in Max, so the modifiers won't matter. You'll have to flip the normals on some of the components, but you'd have to do that anyway.

Thank you Dan http://www.3dgladiators.net/forums/u...lies/smile.gif
This will be a fun toy to play with

WHOOHOOOO!!!

Dan, will you be converting it to LWO?

JimBeam January 19th, 2001 10:44 PM

My apologies for the delay in uploading Dan's files. However, you can now use the ReversePolarity.co.uk URL to get them. Browser-based download only, I'm afraid - my server doesn't allow anonymous FTP.

Have fun! http://www.3dgladiators.net/forums/u...lies/smile.gif

Very important!!!! The plateox2.jpg file (which was omitted from the textures zip?) needs to be converted to .tga for it to work properly!!! Unfortunately I can't do this here at university, although I WILL post a .tga version over the weekend.
Also you need to make sure Max is looking for the textures wherever you put them!

Thanks, Glenn.

Ian, I don't see myself converting it anytime soon, but the ConstitutionClass.zip on Darrell's geocities site, along with the texture vectors or bmps should do fine. There's no fancy mapping, and you have the new nacelle. If you want to do a conversion... http://www.3dgladiators.net/forums/u...ilies/wink.gif

Cool, Dan, thanks! I can't believe you included the illustrator files too, that's awesome.

A potential design if they ever did Star Trek Phase II!
