3DGs Musical Corner (updated Daily) "What are you Listening to".

This has been a popular thread on a few of the sites that I hang around at.

As you work on your model or animation or image
what has you inspired today

Change the name .. to "3DGs Musical Corner"

anyone have a better one :)

Rule 1. I you post a link credit the composer, singer or film. just as you would with a
mesh or you should :)
Rule 2. No belittling or derogatory comments on member musical preferences (its a sad world sometime)
Rule 3. No link that could possibly offend (if in doubt don´t post link)

Re: What are you Listening too

Feeling a little melancholy today .:axe: So I have been listening to the OST from Charley Chaplin today .. music of note is "Smile" which was apparently written by Chaplin or the words anyway.

It is sang by Robert Downey Jr. he not bad I have to say.. :)

Also the instrumental is by another of my top composers John Barry of the James Bond films.

Have you seen the film .. I loved it. normally I am not one for biography's but I was always a fan of Chaplin and could not resist seen it.
Quote:

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though it's breaking.
When there are clouds in the sky
you'll get by.

If you smile through your pain and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun shining through
For you.

Light up your face with gladness,
Hide every trace of sadness.
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying.
You'll find that life is still worthwhile-
If you just smile
Talented man

Tomorrow ..... what will it be...... what are you listen too today. :cowboy:

Decided to add a festive tune and something that we will all soon been hearing in may parts of the world over the next few hours .. not something you model or render too but its the end of another year and the beginning of another.. 2011

wish you all the best in 2011

BBC Symphony, Chorus & Singers - Auld Lang Syne
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rId95...layer_embedded

happy new year 2011

Quote:

"Auld Lang Syne" is a Scots poem written by Robert Burns in 1788[2] and set to the tune of a traditional folk song (Roud # 6294). It is well known in many English-speaking (and other) countries and is often sung to celebrate the start of the New Year at the stroke of midnight. By extension, its use has also become common at funerals, graduations, and as a farewell or ending to other occasions.
The song's Scots title may be translated into English literally as "old long since", or more idiomatically, "long long ago",[3] "days gone by" or "old times". Consequently "For auld lang syne", as it appears in the first line of the chorus, is loosely translated as "for old times sake"

That is so funny to find this thread. I almost never listen to music when I work, but for inspiration, Need for Speed soundtracks and of course, sci-fi themes. DS9, although short, is still one of the best written pieces, along with T2 theme.
