I think there is some confusion...
I also think it has to be set 30+ years after ROTJ.... I pointed that out in my post earlier

reflecting the ageing of the characters and my comment about the Timothy Zahn books is that they are so well written and the characters are far better developed.
I did not mean that the new films by Disney should be set 1 year or 5 years after ROTJ thus requiring younger actors to play the 3 main key parts.
I would like to see an older Han Solo and Leia and Luke as you mention....... going through the problems of setting up the new Republic also the Empire while its lost its focus is still a problem for them.....
thekingtut points out that the 3 original actors are now to old to play these parts or should not been in the films due to their age.
