The movie that probably first crossed the line between sci-fi and horror is a known classic and came out the same year I was born (a couple of noteworthy things that year
) I'm, of course, referring to that classic Ridley Scott film, Alien. Now, that was definitely a fine blend of horror sci-fi and it really opened up this new genre. (I've got the whole Alien collection on DVD.)
