It's not surprising that your sister likes it. This one is supposed to be totally different and is intended to ensnare a new audience, as well as bring back the fans that are fed-up with Trek from the last several years. I'm *almost* tempted to break my rule about not going to movie theaters but I haven't done it yet. I didn't do it for Transformers, (which I was a fan of long before I was Trek) I'm sure I can resist temptation on this one also.
