New Years Resolutions
Last year, instead of doing a New Years Resolution, I made a promise that I'd "Face My Fears" and do things I normally wouldn't do. This year I visited New York City on my own, went to London for two weeks on my own for work, I dyed my hair blonde. Okay it doesn't seem much, but to me it was a huge step, and I plan on getting a tattoo (I'm afraid of needles) hopefully before the year is out, I'm not too sure yet.
So this year, I don't have a resolution, I have a new promise "Live My Dream". Basically, I've always wanted to open my own DVD shop, always wanted to have a book of mine published and become a millionaire, you know the dreams you have when you sleep. Well, I'm planning on leaving my job in the New Year, and hope to open my own DVD shop (and also, during this period, get out a book of all my short stories which I've wrote for school, college and then when I have a spare three seconds).
That's my resolution, what are yours?

Exercise. Staring January, one hour on the exercise bike three days a week.
That, and get out of my rut... I'm working on the specifics of that one. I've realised that you can't achieve anything unless you know exactly what you want and how you're going to start getting it.

Re: New Years Resolutions
Getting a tattoo really doesn't seem a good way to conquer your fear of needles, Mike. Have you considered donating blood?
I just plan to graduate and get healthy this year. Like duh, what's new.
Maybe work on my character some - I really should get down with the annoyance facter, but how? And neither do I have an idea of how to be less accident prone either.
(Concussion for a birthday present in 2003. Yay. NOT!)

Donating blood was an option, but I don't really want to. I know it'll help someone in the future, but atm, just getting near a needle will be good, donating blood is a future goal.

Hey, what's wrong with NYC? I work there everyday. Not as bad as one might think.

Nothing's wrong with NYC. If I could live there today, I would. I LOVE IT! I can't wait to go back.

Oh, ok. Sounded like you feared visiting NYC in your initial post. Glad you liked it although it can be a bit too fast paced at times.

I promised myself that my New Year's resolution would not be to lose weight, like it is every year. And oddly enough, so far, I've done well on Weight Watchers (by well I mean started on Monday. :-P ).

I must admit, this year I'm doing down your road c_looney (not literally), I want to tone up my body, so I'm gonna *gulp* start a gym in a hope for a 6-pack, or ANY pack!

I'm going to buy a punching bag, myself. I need to work on my upper body a bit, and it's also a great way to relieve stress - it's certainly better than punching my customers, which I've been tempted to do very often in recent months...

I kept mine for 20 minutes. Shocking.
I'm out of the rut though, which is nice...
