Looks awesome. I'm not familiar with Dan Dare. My favorite 2000 AD comic is Judge Dredd, but that's probably because it's the main one that's been imported into the United States. I've not read anything else from 2000 AD.

Dredd is the best known and biggest hitter in 2000AD cast of characters
I have seen the American versions, the main thing was colour added to all the pages. mostly it was B&W.

Other Characters you might check out, favourites of mine anyway.

*Strontium Dog
*Rogue Trooper
*M.A.C.H. 1, a super-powered secret agent inspired by The Six Million Dollar Man
*Robo-Hunter
*Ro-Busters

Dan Dare started in the Eagle comic in the 1950s, Dan Dare has been described as "Biggles in Space" and as the British equivalent of Buck Rogers. Dan Dare was distinguished by its long, complex storylines. fantastic art

Dan has been revamped a number of times, though my favourite is the original and the 2000AD, being more influenced by Star Trek and the later Star Wars.

Yeah, sadly, I don't know how much of that stuff was even imported into the United States. I could probably find some of it. Strangely, even though movies and TV shows from over here are distributed in other countries regularly, we don't seem to get near the same amount of stuff from elsewhere. It sucks because sometimes I'd like to watch (or read) stuff not made in the US.

Most of the ones I have are B&W. I have the first couple collections of the "Complete Case Files" collection, which reprints the original Dredd comics in glorious B&W. And, I have some other stuff in B&W. Though, I do have some of the reprints in color too. I found a whole bunch of them in a used bookstore back in the '90s, so I nabbed them.

ah I have the complete case files too. great read.

I don't watch as much TV or movies as I used too, love classic films and TV shows.

Dan Dare Spaceships in the late 70s were very much inspired by Star Wars, far removed from the original characters and only Dan made it.

his ships the eagle could be inspired by the Falcon and Anastasia designs

the main ship Dan Dare's Space Fortress. very much a Star destroyer

Its another design on my "todo" list
