I decided to change the texture of the lower sensor dome and made some windows for the neck of the ship.

UPDATE...
Well except for a few very minor tweaks this ship is done.

Here's a look at two more ships. These designs come from Jackill's Starfleet Reference Manual ships of the fleet Vol. 1. I desided that I make them as TOS ships. I used the active shade renderer in Max for these shots that's why that don't look that good.
Swiften Class Fast Destroyer

Cheetah Class Fast Cruiser

I thought I'd throw in these very rough blocked in ideas for three post Nemesis ships.

I don't garrantee that I'll finish these ships. There just ideas for now.

UPDATE...
I've built the part that connect the two warp engines to the neck of the ship. And I also played around with a weapon pod.

A close up of some changes made to the warp engines.

A close up of the weapon pod.

Your texturing technique is impressive. These are pretty terrific. How'd you do your bussards? Also, how large are the bump maps you used on the saucers?

The bump maps are 1000 x 1000 pixels. A little larger than I would like.

Just thought I'd throw in a very rough version of a dry dock.
The design is from Jackill's Starfleet Reference Manual Vol.

The Saladin is now fully complete and as soon as I sort out the 3DS file I'll make it available.

Even though I already saw it at 3DScifi, I had to come in and take another look at the Saladin. It's a beauty.

Sadly I can't appear to get this thing converted to 3DS for some reason.

Have you had any more luck with the conversion than you had a couple days ago?

Out of curiosity, what format are you converting from?

No I haven't tried. I want to finish the textures for the Swiften before I try again.

That's sweet. I love the nav deflector in that spot. I like a lot of the FZ designs with the deflector under the sensor dome, but I think the new location really helps the flow of this particular design.

Sweet, this is a great design. Are you gonna do the Derf again also?

Yep. I plan on doing the Derf as well. The secondary hull on that ship is kind of a pain in the ass.

Here's a little history on this ship.
The majority of this class is assigned to the "Blue Fleet". These ships are primarily manned by Andorians. The Loknar was the first of these ships. The Morgan City was captured by the klingon Admiral Kamato and used during a failed coup to take control of the Klingon Empire.
The ship was used for several years to attack unprotected convoys and merchant vessels. This lasted until the class was recalled, the ship was then painted the standard color of the Klingon Navy and renamed Staav'eMara (Slave of Justice).

Interesting back story. Did you make that up or did someone else?

UPDATE...
Shuttlebays and impulse engines are added.
I decided to go in the oppsite direction of the U.S.S. Phobos withe shuttle bays and Impulse engines to show the difference in the refit.

Here are the micro nav deflectors.

Something I forgot to do with the other ships was change the coffee stain on the upper saucer. So I changed this one to a grey color.

I didn't know this was the same class as the Phobos. I've only seen that model a couple times.

I like what you're doing. Especially the curved impulse engines. Those are snazzy.

UPDATE...
The textures for the bottom of the secondary hull are done. Textures for the shuttlebays are done as well.
I've placed some vents on the inner warp pylons.

I finished the textures for the upper secondary hull and took another shot at adding a vent like thing to the front of the warp pylons
