Default First Ever Terragen Images

Howdy, boys and girls!

I've just started messing with Terragen, and I'm loving it so far. I'm including 8 images that I've rendered, all with slightly different lighting and effects.

The last few images are my attempts to create a frozen lake, but I still haven't got it right yet. Any help in that regard from other Terragen users would be greatly appreciated.

Now for the pics:

The top 2 are very good as are the last two. Frozen lake hmmm... I've been wanting to do one myself but have not even tried it yet. Have you looked at the setting the water textures to whites and light blues? The colors set to 'ice' and a very smoothed out wave setting may be what you need.

Here are a couple of links you might find useful:

WaterWorks Plugins

Indeed. And I suppose I'll have to start messing with an old version of Lightwave now, too, so I can get you off my back...

Thomas, I actually used the WaterWorks plugins for the last two images. Test009 didn't come out anything close to what I was expecting from the "demo" pic on the Waterworks page (using the IceShelf plugin) but I think I got pretty close to a frozen lake on Test008.

I should really start getting into using maps and mutliple layers for more experimentation.

Terragen very nice product. Small and photorealistic. But organic world is poor...I know, Forester used for embedding trees, shrubs into tgw files...But Forester complex programm...for me anywhere...Sorry for my english...

Axelus, I may try Forrester soon, just to see what it can do. When I do, I'll let you know how it turns out.
