ST-TNG Kitbash - Vanguard Class Carrier
Okay - I generally don't go into this sort of thing myself but was inspired by a pic of a model done by Alfred Wong. This is what he calls a Vanguard Class Attack Carrier. I took Eric Peterson's 1701B mesh and made a few adds to match Alfred's design.
The 1701B mesh, by today's standards, has a few problems but I was going for different and quick - not elaborate and time consuming. I wanted to see what I could cobble together in less than two hours.
I need to texture it and get some fighters and a few other minor details. Might look good in a Dominion War pic.

I can think of plenty of scenes that this would work well in.

I'm concerned about the aft end of the engineering hull... that kinda looks like it can break off easily with shots from a renegade Bird of Prey.

Some minor detail added and textures being adjusted. The detail is mostly in the new deck blisters (on the bow, above the deflector) and the port holes along them. Also, most of the original mesh (smoothing) errors I found on the lower saucer section have been fixed.

Hmm...can't say I'm crazy about the design. Looks too blocky to be from the Excelsior lineage. However, you have done a good job cobbling it together.

It is a well done ship but I have never been a fan of kit-bashing ships. I like new ideas, it is cool though a funtion over form ship. And despite the fact that I don't like the ship itself it is much better then anything i could do. So good Job!
