Glad to hear you didn't loose any data.
UPDATE..
Shuttlebays are added. I'm yring something different with the warp pylons. I thought about doing it with the first ship but I didn't. I've added vents like the ones on the pylons of the TMP Enterprise.

Not an update but a peek at the next ship.
The U.S.S. Nelson. I've tried something different with this on as well by addding two shuttlebays to the saucer. Something I didn't even think of when I first built the ship.
This is the last of the single engine TOS ships I'll be doing.

How big are these ships? The shuttlebays seem kinda smallish to me. Or are they supposed to be small bays?

They're big enough for a shuttle to get in. But there isn't a lot of room to mess around.

Got it, more 1701-D Shuttlebay 2 & 3 size. I guess this size of a ship, being a destroyer, wouldn't need much more than a couple small shuttlepods. Anywho, it looks good. I like the reworked Nelson. Didn't you make a Nelson before?

The Nelson was another ship I lost, along with the unfinished Locknar and Derf.

Yeah, I thought I remembered an old image with the Nelson that was sweet. Are you going to get back to the Locknar and Derf eventually? I found those schematics recently at www.shipschematics.net and thought of your old project.

Cool, I really like those designs. Besides, with the saucer and nacelle(s) being the same, you're part of the way there.

UPDATE...
More textures for the bridge. I also modified the textures I already had done and toned down that darker color.

The bussard looks a little funky, IMO, but the rest looks good. No registry markings on the nacelle?

UPDATE...
The first shot at doing textures for the saucer top.
This is a little bit closer to what I want.
Still needs a little tweaking.

Looks good. It seems too shiny in that first shot but I think it's the lighting because it looks good in the second.

I didn't like the first one myself so I changed the specularity and glossiness setings for the second pic.

Yeah, your bay arrangement makes sense. I'd always wondered where the bays on the Hermes/Saladin and Ptolemy-class ships were. You could say they always use transporters but what if those break?

I've seen other ships that have shuttle bays on the top of the saucer. I could have gone with that but chose not to.

Yeah, that sounds cool. I like to put them on the front of the saucer. It's actually interesting how many different places you can find to place a small bay.

UPDATE...
I installed the last of the saucer rim windows. Added textures to the shuttle bays.
Added the cargo container and did some work on the warp engines and textures for the impulse engines.

I really like these sips, and they seem to be very true to the original design. (I reall hate the way they stuck those "deflector" dishes on as an afterthought, though; seems like they'd break off easily).

Textures on the container are done. Some details on the engine pylons are added and textures have been added to the top of the saucer.

Not getting too much work done recently due to a root canal and other assorted pain in the ass things. Like my TV crapping out on Friday the thirteenth, not even a year old yet and payments not finished.
Enough bitching.
Not realy an update here but I thought I'd put togerther a U.S.S Saladin.

UPDATE...
I've completed the textures for the lower saucer.
I'm still not certain if I'll leave the lower sensor dome lit or not.

Looks good. You should leave it lit, IMO. If for no other reason than it will look cool in dark scenes.

Either way it looks cool.
I'll have to add some kind of interactive lighting.
