Re: Need a Mesh?
I was going to try to convert a true space model into poser, so any of the trek ones in that format, I thought there were a few Trek Move ships in that format.

Re: Need a Mesh?
Looking for a LW version of the Excelsior. The one I have is not accurate and I can't get WileyCoyote's to work in LW10. Thanks!

Re: Need a Mesh?
The only Lightwave version I know off is by Arrghman on F3D.
the others are just not available publicly, which is a shame.
the only one here is the Enterprise B refit

Again the best are not publicly available in lightwave.
I will ask around but I fear the answer would be a negative, I do my best anyway

Re: Need a Mesh?
He still posts WiP projects from time to time on SFM. That's the only way I know of to get a hold of him.

Re: Need a Mesh?
I'm looking for a "Doomsday Machine" mesh. I've seen a few examples across the net, but one of the most screen accurate I've encountered was modeled by one Thomas7G. I see he's listed as a member here, but he has not posted since July 2007, almost 5 years ago.
Anybody know what happened to him?
Or, if anyone knows of any DDM models that reach his level of accuracy, that'll be fine.
Sincerely,
Bill

Re: Need a Mesh?
Thanks!
I know about the ones at TrekMeshes, but it is this one that caught my interest...

For such a seemingly simple concept, a space-going "funnel" with a fiery interior, rarely have I seen polygonal depictions that are close to the shape depicted in the original episode (before the remastered effects).
Sincerely,
Bill

Re: Need a Mesh?
The one by Raul Mamoru looks good, IMO. I think it looks very accurate. But, that's just me.

Is that the .MAX based version? I don't own 3D Studio Max to use it.

Yeah, that's the big problem. (I don't have Max either.) There aren't many conversion programs that will handle the format. Though, you could download the Max free trial and use it to convert the mesh. As far as I know, Max has a fully working 30-day trial version, so it should be able to load the mesh and save it as a different format.

Re: Need a Mesh?
Does anyone have meshes of the Alliance ships from Serenity or the big vertical ships in Firefly?

Re: Need a Mesh?
It's been a while since I watch Serenity, but I thought they had the same Alliance ships they did in the series.

Re: Need a Mesh?
I would love .obj files [no massive amounts of triangles] of this: " click here" Enterprise bridge.
And/or a nice flat floormap.
Actually, some floorplans for the main parts of the ship would be nice too.
If possible, thank you. :-)
edit: Found a few bits and pieces ...
