Yeah, I'm like a friggin' junkie when it comes to Trek references. I either have them saved to my PC or I have the links bookmarked so they're just a click away. That goes for the BPs, hardware refs, general info, if I find a cool link I bookmark it for later.

QUESTION Re: Star Trek Models and Resources

Hi,

I am looking for a TOS era ship that could be used for an Orion ship. I know we've only seen glimpses of Orion ships ("Journey to Babel", "The Pirates of Orion" and the Orion designs for Star Fleet Battles) but anything would be helpful.

My preferred format would be for Poser 7, but I can import Lightwave LWO, Wavefront OBJ and SD Studio 3DS.

If you know any sites or direction, please let me know.

Thanks!

Just to add to the scenery resources, I've uploaded a number of TOS sets here:

http://www.sharecg.com/pf/full_uploa...er_name=Ptrope

1. Briefing room
2. Crew Quarters
3. Transporter room
4. Updated captain's quarters from "The Cage" (non-canon)
5. TOS bridge chair
6. Medusan transport case
7. Speculative TOS Klingon chair (non-canon)
8. TOS/TAS Bridge (conversion of SeanR's tS bridge to Poser 6+)

Very nice work, too Ptrope - especially the Bridge. Been enjoying it in P7 - as wel as the Pilot version of the Captain's Quarters... Now if I could just find some of the Voyager sets, I'd be in 7th heaven!

Someday I'm going to get my Trek story animated and when I do, it'll be 90% your fault for sharing such great meshes. LOL!

Hi!

I am looking for a detailed Galaxy class starship for Max. The mesh in question would be Nico Weigand's one. If you are in possession of this mesh, please share it with me.

Thank you!

Do any of you know of any Klingon bridge sets out there?
I've been looking for one for a long time now and haven't found one yet.

Unfortunately, no. I don't know if anyone has even made one (aside from game and FX studios and whatnot.) Bridges in general are a rarity, at least in public release, and they're usually Starfleet.

Nothing to see so far - but here is a link to a site with reference-views for those who are interested in modelling interior-sets.

T, your landing bay is a VERY good job. The prob is the lack of physical accuracy by the studio itself.

I think you'd do a fantastic job on interiors.

That would be way cool. You always do outstanding work!

I'm currently animating a Trek themed short film (about 30 minutes) and it takes place between the TOS movies and the TNG era. My starship is the Phase 2 with 1701-A nacells.

Since I don't have a TOSmovie era bridge I've been modifying the Olympus bridge to give it the look of a TOSmovie ship with computer upgrades but it doesn't 'feel right' - if you know what I mean. LOL!

I'm sure I'm not the only one who would jump all over any TOSmovie era int sets you build!

And I agree with Warrior regaring the landing bay. It's a good set and one I've already used in my Trek animation.

thanks again .. I would be interested myself in what I can do for the TMP Bridge . but it will take a bit before I am ready ..

Love to see that animation

For my fellow DAZaholics you can get 'character morphs' for M3 that create faces for the TOS crew over at Renderosity. I've used them before and they're pretty cool. They also have Uhura but I'm not sure if it's for V3 or V2. You can also (just as you can here) find uniforms and other bits-n-pieces of Trek goodies & props.

http://www.renderosity.com/mod/frees...=day&username=

For those of you not registered at Renderosity here are the Trek crew faces over at ShareCg.com

http://www.sharecg.com/v/9896/poser/...-Officer-Faces

Sorry about posting a link you have to be signed into view.
I hit that site daily and I forget that it's a login thing.
Check out the new link though.
For people using DAZ or Poser products this is a real cool thing to have.

I updated my post with new info -

But I thought that since we're on a new page I'd put it here too.
Just in case somebody wants it and would have missed the last page.

Hey, that's pretty cool, dude. I've got an earlier version of Daz (came on a CD I got with a magazine) and it looks pretty cool, so I've considered downloading and trying the latest version. That face thing is a nudge in that direction for sure.

wjaspers - Thank you very, very much!
I'm currently working on a Star Trek themed animated short film and I was seriously in need of a TMP era bridge.

Again, thanks a lot!

Now that I've played around a bit with the TMP2 bridge, I have to say thanks again and d*mn nice job on the mesh. Fantastic work.
