Default A Bug in the Library

I know, it doesn't sound serious, or does it?

A man arrives at the library fearing for his life, hiding from a stalker that isn't even human...

One of its legs was in the room. Two. Three. Four. The first and second legs lifted to reposition themselves. Closer, I thought to myself. Only a little closer...
I threw my sword like a javelin. It imbedded itself into the ceiling right next to the creature's thorax. The creature was so startled that it lost its hold on the ceiling. Instinct took over and it grabbed for any protruding object on the ceiling. It was all over in less than a second, but it seemed to take forver. Its first leg caught something. I caugh a whiff of ozone as I saw its claw signature contract suddenly. The creature's entire body spasmed, hit the floor, then lay still...

Anyone wants a copy, drop me a line.
