Default Directory Listings?

Hey folks. For some reason, my directories give me a 403 Forbidden when I try to access them via HTTP (i.e. get an HTML directory listing). Now, I can upload and access the directories find via normal methods (FTP access is fine, and I can use files in directories). I suspect it has something to do with my host and their default set up for directories. Is there any way to get around this?

I think there are some cgi scripts that can get around that kind of thing - but you need cgi access.

Yeah,

Email them and ask them to check their HTTPD Conf file.

It's most likely they haven't allowed people to view them.

Also check the permissions on the folders, make your public_html directory set to: 777

in a Unix command just type: chmod foldername 777

Or on a FTP just right hand click it and click "CHMOD" then tick all the boxes.
