He lived a long full life.

He will be missed.

R.I.P. Mr. Doohan.

It wasn't going to be long, with him having alzeimers and such, but it was a total shame, at least he got his hollywood star on the walk of fame, which was good

He and DeForest Kelley were my favorite actors from TOS. And now they're both gone.

Sad day indeed...

My favorite Star Trek memory of him is when he picks up a mouse and starts talking through it, best one... may have to rewatch Star Trek 4 again

Nice sentiment Taranis. Moovok, yes that mouse moment is classic. I recall, in the theater, when he then went to the keyboard how proficient he was at typing (I'd say about 150 words a minute). Big laugh out of the audience - I think Scotty had all the great comic moments.

BTW - showing that I'm not a dyed in the wool Trekkie, did you all know that James Doohan was missing a finger? He apparently lost it in WW II (his obit says he was in the D-Day landings).

Once you learn that little tidbit, you watch the episodes and movies in a different light. He was very skilled at hiding it. It was his middle finger that he lost.

I'll have to load my DS9 'Trials and Tribble-ations' episode and take a look - he's in a few scenes.

Don't worry his legacy lives on in the series of TOS and the other filmography he did.
May you RIP Mister Doohan!
