Default new here at request of Sess - have some art...

as you can see I'm a comic colourist but I don't do this for a living. All these pictures were drawn by other people as can be seen in the credits if you look. Just the colouring was done by me as a cheap hobby of mine.

The first 3 pictures however will soon be publsihed in a new book by Mike Burns (who also wrote Digitale Femme- amazon.com) called Digital Sci Fi Art....

that'll do for now...lots more on the website

cheers

I don't know how he does it, but one way I've found is to set your brush to either multiply or add, then set it's opacity down to maybe 10 or so, and just keep painting over top of it. Use a really fuzzy brush.

It's magnificent. I also see a Ridley Scott film in there 'Legend'. Sorry, HUGE Ridley Scott fan, brilliant art work though. So have you gone to full 2D stuff or are you still dabbling in 3D art as well, cause I remember you were fantastic at that, when I first started (not saying that due to time, you've turne crap), but I've rarely seen anything 3D from ya.

Not being negative though, it's fantastic the detail you've done, even though they're 2D, they look spectacular! Do you get any money for the published book?

thanx all...

1. - see my website for a tutorial (edited version of what is going in the book) on how I do this. I'm adding some more over the next few weeks so stay tuned...

2. - I have never done 3D work except for some flamingpear based stars/planets like this:

Otherwise it's all cooured comics which I do for a cheap hobby and the odd commission...

cheers

ROTFLOL! Well, Rick, you know Chris has let his hair grow, but somehow, no matter how many female hormones I slip into his food, his breasts just don't want to grow

(I'm kidding, chris, though... if you want.... I've got four packages of THE PILL lying around here... It's female hormones... it'll make your breasts grow... )

Sean,

Fantastic work! I set you as one of my favorites at Renderosity. Tell you what, I'll pencil, you color,we find and inker and we'll start our own comic!

I did an ameteur comic back in college based on my Champion's campain. It was called "Angels and Ministers of Grace". I'm great at drawing and story telling, but my comic inking skills suck.

Sweet stuff! Keep up the good work.
