Default My First Interior, A Modular Corridor System

I started thinking about this last night. and so i finally made it. Its a modular corridor system. Meaning i made about 4 different kinds of corridors each measure around 5m in length and about 3m in height. All i have to do is move them around in different ways and i have a whole new configuration.

I know i have a few smoothing issues to work out, but im not sure what else it needs.
Any feedback would be most helpful
thanks

If you want to add a bit of variety, try a modular pack of access panels, maintenance hatches etc etc to put on the walls, breaks things up a bit. Maybe some numbers and arrows for different ship areas, have a colored stripe running along the wall dependant on what part of the ship it is, have numbers at each intersection or door to add some more realism... then do some nice procedural textures and you'll have a pretty good-lookin' setup

lol, grab the demo from Discreet's site.

The only thing i have to compare it to is 3d Max 4 and yeah, as i hear it there are a lot of differences between 4 and 5 so.

One thing i love about 6 is the Architectural stuff. Those Spiral stairs were made like a primitive.

I've been thinking of something like that to actually build when it comes time to shoot my sci-fi film (still in the scripting stage right now). I'm thinking of making three or four different types of corridors sections, all using standard parts that can be switched out to create different looks.

I'm afraid that I can't see any of the images.

I completed a modular corridor kit about seven or eight years ago, and one of the tricks I employed is to do "double sided" wall panels, with a different section profile on each side. It really increases the versatility of the set.

I also created tons of panel inserts, greebles, nurnies, cables and pipes... doors, passageways, vertical connections, intersections, ladders of several types and even a staircase (that doesn't really work as well as I had hoped). Don't worry... I'm not about to hijack this thread, but I can post some images as reference to help in your own project developments.

Cheers! — Möe

You can't see the images because the thread is almost 4 1/2 years old.

Doh!

Now you can see how far behind I am in reading the forums... and to think I only hang around this particular forum. :P
