Default WIndows ME, Geforce 2 Pro, "genius" optical USB mouse... cursor gone.

That's ma spec, that's the problem FOr some reason my graphics drivers corrupted and when I reinstalled them, they made my cursor go totally invisible and unresponsive. Mouse drivers are fine, I reinstalled the latest version of both them and the graphics driver, but the problem remains. Tried swapping over to the PS2 port but the problem remained. This is incredibly annoying as the machine in question is my graphics machine...

Any tips? From what I can gather, this is a fairly common problem, but I see no solutions for it outside linux.

I thought GeForce cards had hardware cursors?

Mine should, at least. No annoying flicker over moving stuff.

Wow, that takes me back. I haven't had that problem since I was running Windows 3.1...

Kai tells me its a corruption in the windows grapics core or some such. I'm inclined to believe him, considering the idiot who was waving magnets around in the room the other day.
