Default Star Trek - Merchantman Class-J - Type-3

Keeping in with my interest in Star Trek modelling I started the Merchantman Class Ship seen in Star Trek 3 "The Search for Spock" this is a second attempt
after the first was not cutting the mustard in some areas

You know I love this ship and feel you're doing a most excellent job modeling it.

here is the only update one this .. don't get much time for modelling now but I think the over all shape is good to go and now moving on to detailing and hull design ...

I am going to model the details and use a basic texture for the ship later.

From what I remember there are a lot of greeblies and doo dads on this ship. Good luck with that, but I like where it's going so far.

Looks good, T. I think the original was one big kitbash, that's why it had so much stuff on it. I know it's one of the cheapest to build ever ST ships and it's been used many times on TNG, DS9 and Voyager as well. Especially TNG. It was every third alien ship they ran across, sometimes modified, sometimes not.

I'm usually the opposite way. I want to get out of rendering images and back to building meshes. But you make some friggin' cool images, so I can see why you like to do it.

Thanks .. Modelling take a lot of my time and energy .. while I like it .. it does not give me the satisfaction of Rendering up a good image .. Either Trek (Which got me into cgi)
or Star Wars .. now I want some trek .. the is one other mesh I want to build but its not the Enterprise .. I may try it some time
