2 D DRAWING LCARS Home Security Display

I only just registered, but I am a long time visitor of 3D Gladiators. Several years ago, I even posted some 3D art. But events in life caused me to drift away from digital art for a time, and now I am back and wishing to get back into the community.

I am only just starting to get into Lightwave, so I have nothing 3D to post yet. But I have been working with Photoshop in my job in video graphics for several years now and decided to try my hand at designing LCARS.

What you see through the link below is my first attempt. I postulated what my house's home security display might look like if it had an LCARS display.

The photo came from Google Maps and my real live house is at the center.

Not bad. I like it. Can you zoom in on that guy breaking into your house?

The colors are based on LCARS designs from
http://www.lcarscom.net/databank.htm and http://www.starbasemccoy.com/lcars/index.php. I think I pretty much used all the colors that were standard. As for a more complex interface, that will come with practice (and time, which is often in short supply).

Thanks for all the comments so far.
