I love Underdogs, but it doesn't have a lot of what Abandonware Games does. The only thing Underdogs has yeilded me so far is a copy of The Sentinel Returns a couple of months back, which is totally addictive, I'm on the 206th level now and I'm not bored, oh man I need my sentinel fix

the-underdogs get in contact with the programmers and producers of those games they feature on their site. they are allowed to host them. that's a big plus for them, i think.

Yeah, but it's based on contribution. Users upload the games, not the webmaster. That means that sometimes illegal stuff gets uploaded. Games are unactivated/deleted based on whether they are truly abandonware or not, I guess sometimes they get missed.

i'm sad that the ISDA Member's won't release their stuff...what do they think that it will be something to make big money with when they count as pre-historic?

Oh, you'd be surprised. With mobile phones reaching a similar graphics and memory capability to early consoles, a lot of these companies are suddenly seeing an opportunity to make a fortune from their old catalogues. A spectrum ROM site was recently taken down by the BMA for hosting hundreds of these old spectrum games that are just starting to appear on the high-end handsets, or are going to be available for download pretty soon.
