Moonbase Alpha
I'm keen to have a go at making a mesh of Moonbase Alpha. Does anyone know of a decent resolution schematic of the base? I can never figure where main mission actually is located. (Is it at the top of the central tower or is it based on the ground level?) If you watch the episode 'Last Sunset' from season one then you'll know what I mean.

Re: Moonbase Alpha
There's a technical manual for Moonbase Alpha, it was published in 1977. I don't know how hard it would be to find a copy of it, though.

Re: Moonbase Alpha
The layout from Season one was ever changing. In the first season Mission moved from level to level depending on alert status. It was during later seasons that it settled on the ground level. There are many disputes raging about this but have a careful look at the layout in mission central. It features a lot in other areas also but looks different due to camera angles etc. The budget for the show was limited so all the props were reusable and were just placed differently for other areas of the station. It was thought that Mission was at the TOP of the central hub but inpoint of fact it was at the base. The TOP section was COMMAND not mission. Mission was linked to the launch section of the base and was technically the central hub of the pilots. I will make enquireies at pinewood to see what I can dig up. They have an exstensive library there and I have friends that work there that may be able to find a schematic of the base and mail it to me.

Re: Moonbase Alpha
Hopefully these links will help you build the model. I will post later after a reply from Pinewood. I have also had a message drop to The Gerry Anderson Trust for more info.
Hopefully there will be someone on the props team at pinewood that worked on the show
or is related to a builder on the show. It has been a year since I was at pinewood doing any work and since april this year I have been declared unfit for work due to extreme ill health which could be terminal. I'll keep trying and see what else I can dig up for you.
